Using Gantt Charts

Using Gantt ChartsUsing Gantt Charts is an example of asynchronous e-learning. It employs a mixture of narrated Flash animations with numerous self-practice activities.

Context

This course was developed to meet two purposes: (1) to supplement classroom training, and (2) to serve as an introduction to potential clients. Using Gantt Charts is the first in a series of training modules.

Design notes

This course was designed to be very modular. Each lesson is a complete unit, or knowledge object, and includes a self-evaluation to lock in the concept. Modules can be rearranged and new new courses produced simply by defining a new table of contents. Here is some more information on our development methodology.

The tools used were Adobe Dreamweaver with JavaScript for the structure and main content and Adobe flash for the demonstrations.
