Pick-one
Multiple-choice
questions display a list of answers for learners to choose from. There are 2 main
types of multiple-choice questions: pick-one and pick-multiple
. Pick-one questions ask the learner to pick just one answer from the list. Only
one answer is correct.
In this example
from a course on wilderness management, learners are presented a scenario and asked the correct action to take in order to remedy the problem while complying with specific
regulations.
If you want to
ask several pick-one questions about a subject or if space is tight on the page,
consider using a series of selection lists. In this example, the selection-list
format works especially well since all the questions have the same set of possible
answers.
Here is another example that uses
selection lists. It tests learners about their knowledge
of the mineral fluorite.
