  9. Be sure to click SEARCH and locate tombs with specific characteristics.
What to notice:
  • Vast explorable world. This environment contains a 3D model spanning 64 tombs, some containing many separate chambers linked to dozens of photographs and descriptions. A learner could spend months exploring.
  • Appropriate media usage. Animated 3D models are used to show orientations and inclines, not to distract with twirling logos. Videos are short and to the point. Paintings and statues are illustrated with photographs.
  • Unified design. The consistent user interface, harmonious color scheme, and clear organization make navigation pleasant and predictable.
  • Layered information. Both a fifth grader completing a homework assignment and a post-grad Egyptologist will gain useful knowledge here.
  • Subject-specific search. Learners can search for tombs by dynasty, discoverer, or architectural characteristics.
