About Bill

William Horton has been in the forefront of electronic information design since 1971. He specializes in applying ergonomics to the task of getting information from one human brain to another. He helps organizations and teams make the transition from traditional media to electronic media.

For over 15 years Bill has conducted seminars internationally on subjects ranging from multimedia design and visual literacy to user-interface design, online documentation, and Web-based training.

Bill is a sought-after lecturer and keynote speaker. Most recently he keynoted the 1995 and 1996 Interactive Conferences, Influent Technology Group's 1997 Conference series, the EDS Global Communications Conference, and the 1997 International Technology Training Association Conference in Barcelona.

Bill is a prolific author. His books include Designing and Writing Online Documentation (2nd ed.), Illustrating Computer Documentation, Secrets of User-Seductive Documents, The Icon Book (available in 4 languages), The Web Page Design Cookbook with CD-ROM, and the newly published Designing Web-Based Training.
